1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story

If you have never seen this movie, it is a must see. It is, for me anyway, a heart string tugger. It is based on a true story of a college student who played basketball who has a stroke. He fights hard to become the person he used to be, the player he once was.

Our little stroke survivor loves this movie! He too loves basketball. This movie inspires him to know he can follow his dreams. The strokes don't make him who he is and doesn't have to define what he can do or can not do. Of course, he doesn't word it like that. He just knows he can play basketball like Cory. He knows he had a stroke, like Cory. Their strokes are different, Trey doesn't know that. Trey doesn't realize he has MoyaMoya Syndrome or Disease (it was Syndrome when Trey was diagnosed, I have read it as Disease now) and Cory had an AVM. He just knows they both had a stroke, or that he (Trey) had 2.

If you get the chance to watch this movie, please do. It is a great movie.
