Trey impressed me so much this morning
As you know from an earlier post we were to all meet at the flag pole at our child's school on Wednesday. Trey and I met at ours, his school, and we prayed. This morning while we were on the way to school he saw his flag pole and wanted us to stop and pray at it. I was so impressed and touched by him wanting to do that. We didn't stop at the flag but we did pray before we got to the doors as we always do.

Here goes, the weigh in
Last week I made a commitment to answer to the blog and anyone who reads it. I wanted so badly all weekend long to delete the post saying that I would do it, but then my knee would start to hurt and I had to change my mind. Man, I really hope the knee stops hurting when I start loosing.
Let's see, I plan on riding the exercise bike today. I am going to do it this morning and try again tonight, but at least once a day for 20-30 minutes. I will be counting my calories, I will try not to go over 1200. Drink more water and less Dr. Pepper.
I am having a hard time actually typing the number in, but I figure I walk out the door and you see me so, what's a number. I weighed when I woke up and the scale said 187. I would like to weigh no more than 110. That is a long range goal though. So for right now I would like to loose 30 pounds. Can I do it by Christmas?

Where's Daddy? At the Auburn game
Tonight Emily and Trey were watching the Auburn/LSU game trying to see Jason in the crowd. Here is a little clip of them looking for Daddy.
You may recognize the tune, thank you to The Wiggles.

Trey playing guitar
I don't really know what I am doing here, I have never posted a video but thought that this was cute and that I would try. Trey was playing his guitar and I heard him singing a song we were working on in Preschool Choir at church and thought that I would try to catch it on video. I missed that moment but got this one.
Just in case the video doesn't work here is a picture of him playing the guitar.

Had a great time in Panama City
Our family took a day trip to Panama City yesterday to see Uncle Paul (who is TDY there until Thursday), Nonna and Papa (who were there visiting Uncle Paul too). We had a great time!

We went to Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum and also watched a 4D moving movie there, we went to a fun park where we raced go carts and played in the arcade, we walked on the beach and in the water, the water was beautiful and the waves from the hurricane were awesome (as Cody would say), and we went to dinner at The Back Porch. The weather up there was fine and some places still had gas, on the way home it rained a little bit but was otherwise fine and some places appeared to still have gas.
Jason and I are thinking since we never got a real honeymoon that maybe next year we will head back to Panama City (maybe in September again) and spend a day or two just hanging out on the beach.

Going to Florida on Saturday
We are looking forward to driving 3 hours(ish) to Panama City to visit with Paul and my parents on Saturday. Paul is TDY there for two weeks, he should have a little over a week to go. So we are going to take a road trip to see him. I am looking forward to it.
Please pray for the weather and safe travel for us. Thanks!

See You at the Pole is an annual gathering of Christian students of all ages at a flagpole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture-reading and hymn-singing, during an early morning hour preceding the start of the school day. Over two million students world-wide participated last year! Pepperell (Baptist Church) students are urged to join the following leaders and fellow students at their respective schools:
Beauregard Elementary- Amanda Sumner
Sanford Middle School- Jason Conner
Beauregard High School- Deb Jackson
Carver Elementary- Peggy Conner
Jeter Elementary- Chyron Wood
Opelika Middle School- Jeff Bryant
Opelika High School- Josh Spivey
Yarbrough Elementary School- Alison Starr
_________________________
I want to invite you to please attend a local school on September 24 at 7 am to start the morning off with prayer and fellowship. I would love to see you there (I will be at Beauregard Elementary with Trey) or hear about your See You at the Pole experience.

I Forgot Something(Jason)
It just occured to me that I have forgotten to tell about something that was very cool.
A few weeks ago our church hosted a youth rally that I took Emily to. There was a band and guest speaker. The band Thalon from Clanton, rocked out the church. I had a blast as did the kids (even Mrs. Peggy had a blast).
The band was very humble and just happy to be there, they are truly talented and good people.
The best part about it, the youth of our church had such a good time that they want to see them again.
Maybe we can ask them back sometime.
On another note, I went to my first AU game of the year. Very very hot today. 100 degrees in the stadium. I just hope that our offense will get their act together or it will be a very very long year.
Until next time......

Nothing new going on here.
I noticed that I haven't written anything new in a while. I was excited that Jason had a post last week about football.
Let's see.....I guess the most exciting news is that Trey has started a new therapy. Therapy may not seem so exciting but this is Aquatic Therapy/PT. He has really seemed to enjoy it. He goes to Aquatic Therapy every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for about an hour. He also goes to OT and Speech Therapy every other Wednesday afternoon. The school system provides therapy too, I know the OT that sees him is the same that sees him at Rehab Works, there is a new PT that sees him at the school (by new I guess that I mean he has seen the same PT in the school system since he was in Early Intervention and now she is elsewhere so someone new has taken the position), I don't know if a Speech therapist sees him at school, I believe that there should be one that sees him but I haven't heard anything from one.
I have been enjoying work. The other employees are really nice and friendly. I help a really nice lady named Mary in the younger 2 year old room, some of the kids are actually still 1. We have a two day class on Tuesday and Friday and we have 8 kids. The kids are really great.
I spoke to my brother Paul tonight. He is on TDY right now in Florida. I am hoping that if the weather is good, you know there is another hurricane out there, that maybe we will be able to drive the three plus hours to go and see him and I think that he said my parents are hoping to be there this weekend too. We will be making this a day trip if we go. I hope that we can. I really enjoy getting to see him. He said that Christine and the baby are doing good, she is around 6 months along now. I can not wait for her to be born!
The kids are doing well in school. Trey is still having a hard time with getting up in the mornings. He doesn't always want to get dressed and go but once he gets in the car he is fine and looks forward to it. Emily is doing great. She usually gets up with no problems in the morning with the alarm clock and does pretty much everything by herself.
I guess that's about it. Not much to tell. Hope all is well for everyone else. If we go to Florida I will make sure to get some pictures and post them.
