Weekly diet update

Down 2 lbs from last week. Total 11 lbs this month!

I wont be "dieting" this week, but I will be watching what I eat and keeping track of my caloric intake and workouts. I will start the diet I have been doing for the past 3 weeks next week, probably. I am keeping up with my walking and workout videos this week though.

Walking

I have been walking almost everyday while waiting for Trey to get out of school. I have to be there anyway, but I get there are 1245/1pm to wait until 220/230 for him to actually get into the car. I try to be one of the first in the car rider line so I have to be there that early. But, I have been walking almost every school day. If our calculations are right (we checked to see how big the parking lot is), I walked almost 3.5 miles today and it took me only 50 minutes. I think that is pretty good. Man, my legs were throbbing when I finished.

Weekly diet update

Miller went to a conference a few months ago and while at the conference the speaker talked about changing lives and dieting. She said when a woman refers to dieting they should call it editing. The letters are the same and when you are editing the pounds from your life it makes you feel better than dieting. So, maybe I am on an edit instead of a diet. I know that I didn't say all of that like I was told, but I think it means about the same.

Okay, from Monday until today I am down a pound. But a pound lost is so much better than a pound gained. I didn't walk or do my workout videos as much last week as I had the week before. This week I will have to step it up on the exercising! I am glad though, I didn't gain any of the weight that I had lost the week before. I am down 9 lbs from when I started two weeks ago.

She's here!

Paul just called and said Harlee was born at 8:39 pm (Vegas time/1039 AL/1139 SC). She weighs 7 lbs 6 oz, they don't have her length yet. She has dark eyes, I believe he said dark blue. She has Christine's nose and right now Paul's hair color. I think she might have Paul's chin, but I am basing that off of this picture. She is pretty though! Paul sent this picture from his phone to mine.

He hopes to take more pictures in the morning with his camera, but I don't know when he will be emailing them.

He said they were all good, just tired.

Christine is in the hospital!

Paul just called and said that Christine has been having contractions and has been admitted to the hospital. I don't have any details but I will let you know when I find anything out or when I get pictures!

Diet update

I had a very good diet week.

Last week I started a diet that was low in calories. I ate what I was supposed to every day and stayed within the calories that I was supposed to, the only thing that I did that I was not supposed to do was I had 1 Dr. Pepper every night. I also worked out everyday except for 2 (I took Saturday off and did nothing) and I walked the day I didn't work out and other days too. I lost 8 lbs. I am so proud of myself. I still have a long way to go.

This week starts more calories. Trey is home sick today, I was going to walk today while I was waiting for him to get out of school. But since he's home I am going to workout (exercise video) instead.

I will keep you posted on how things are going.

Trey is fine. His blood levels show that he might have Mycroplasma. The doctor talked about bronchitis, but I read it had something to do with walking pneumonia. He doesn't have either, his blood levels are just pointing to that. He seems to be feeling better today. He hasn't gotten sick today and he has wanted to eat too, so that is good.

Waiting for baby Harlee

Just wanted to let everyone know that my mom called and said that Christine (my brother, Paul's wife) is having contractions and is dilated 3 cm. Harlee is due on Sunday, so she may be arriving any day/time now. Please keep them (all) in your prayers.

Thank you guys.

I will keep you updated and I will post a picture when she arrives and Paul send them.

****Update: As of Saturday afternoon, no changes. Christine is doing fine and is at home. I will keep you posted. Maybe we will see Harlee soon (pictures at least since they live in Vegas and I live in Alabama).

Did you watch the Biggest Loser?

I posted last year that I was going to answer to the blog world my weight, diet, and progress. I failed. I didn't lose and I didn't blog. I may have actually gained, I know I gained last year but I am not sure if I gained before or after I said that I would blog.

Yesterday I started, along with a couple of family members a new diet. This one is a meal plan. I am hungry but I have stuck with it since I started. I have drunk all of the water that I am supposed to and haven't cheated. Jason and I did the Biggest Loser Bootcamp workout DVD last night and I walked for 30 minutes today at Trey's school.

I am watching Biggest Loser right now. I am sitting here in tears as these people talk about their lives and how they got to this point. I am thinking how did I get to this point myself. I don't weigh 200+lbs like most of the contestants, but I am honestly not far from the 200. I remember being a little girl crying that kids were picking on me because I was so skinny, a toothpick. As a kid I guess you got laughed at if you were a big kid or if you were a skinny one. I weighed 100lbs or less when I graduated high school. I remember praying that God would make me bigger so that I wouldn't get laughed at. He answered, but my weight is my fault. I have done this to myself. I do have a thyroid problem, but I believe that the weight problem is mostly on me and not the thyroid. I drank all of the soda, I was lazy--am lazy, I ate the junk food. I pray that this time I do not fail. I do feel like this time so far is different. I have rice crispy treats in the pantry that has been calling my name but I have resisted. I am so proud of me for resisting. I would usually say it's okay and that it's only 90 calories if I eat one. I had one in my hand when I handed it to Jason so he could eat it, I had one in my hand when I put it into Trey's lunch box, but I didn't have one in my hand eating it.

I don't want to be this weight. I don't want to have health problems, I want to be okay wearing a bathing suit, shorts even this summer. I don't want to be horrified when I look in the mirror. I want to do this.

My goal is to loose at least 70 (+) pounds. I am going to do it. I may slip up, but I am going to do it this year. This is not my New Year's resolution, this is what I have to do. I may not lose 70lbs in a year but I will lose until it is gone.

Thanks for reading.
