First day of school and last day of school

The top picture is of Emily in August 2008, the first day of school. The second picture is of Emily in May 2009, the last day of school. I don't know if you can tell from the pictures but she has grown so much in a school year! She will be in 7th grade when school starts, I can not believe she is a 7th grader.

Trey happened to still fit in the outfit that he wore on the first day of school (on the last day of school). So I thought I would see how much he has changed during the school year. The top picture is of Trey in August 2008, the first day of school and the bottom is of him in May 2009, the last day of school. He has grown so much during this school year but to me in the picture he might have looked younger at the end of the year? But he has gotten taller, the shorts are much shorter. I wish they were side by side pics. Trey will be in the 1st grade in August when school starts.

We are going to miss his Kindergarten teachers so much!!! They were so great. We did get some good news though, his Special Needs teacher from Kindergarten will be going up to the first grade with him!!! So he will know one of his teachers.
