It's been a rough year

I have failed at my New Year's Resolution to keep the blog updated. This year has been a rough year. My very dear friend that I spent a lot of time with had knee surgery in February. He (82 year old) was in rehab for a month after his surgery. I went to see him in the hospital and then rehab almost every day. My cat died :(. Mr. Evans had a heart attack and stayed in the hospital for a month. He is now home and doing pretty good. Then my close friend (again 82 year old) had 2 strokes, was in the hospital then home/bed bound. My Aunt had a heart attack as well, we didn't know if she would make it, she did!!! She is doing pretty good herself now. My Daddy was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, it happened SO fast, less than a month from finding out to having no Leukemia cells in his bone marrow (which is great, great that it happened fast so we didn't have a chance to really think about it and great that the rapid remission chemo worked the first time). He is doing well, still in the hospital trying to get stronger and his white blood cells to rebuild. There will be a 3rd bone marrow test and then a plan of action/care plan to try to keep the Leukemia cells out of his bone marrow. My dear friend (82 yr old) passed away. So, it's been rough. As I said though, my loved ones that had heart attacks are doing well. Still getting stronger but doing well. We are still missing Cloee, our cat but it's getting better. My Daddy is doing great. He is just getting stronger and letting those white blood cells grow and they are. Looking forward to finding out how we are going to continue to treat the Leukemia. We are all missing my dear friend that passed away, he was saved and ready to go home. On a brighter note, all 3 kids have been home. We love having a full house!!! Cody gets a little bored because we are home bodies (Em and Trey really like just staying home and watching TV, playing video games, and during the summer going outside to play in the pool, basketball, swinging). I must add though that there has been some good things that have happened during all of the not so good. All three kids passed in school. We will now have a 9th grader, 4th grader, and 8th grader when school starts back. Emily got all of her classes picked out to start her freshman year of high school. She will be a busy girl when school starts!!! Trey finished his cheering year in Florida, oh, we got to see Granny while we had a weekend beach vacation. Trey also had a successful 2 month (Miracle League baseball) season. Cody is moving back to Alabama!!! SO happy about that. Although Daddy was in the hospital I got to spend a week with him after he finished his chemo. We have had a little more extended family (spending)time this year. Looking forward to what the rest of the year hold, man, I hope it's good! So, that has pretty much been my year to date. How about yours?
